Obradovich Appointed Chairman of Independent NickelSudbury, Ontario – March 7, 2007 – Independent Nickel Corp. (INI: TSX-V) (the “Company”) reports that Thomas Obradovich has accepted the appointment of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. The membership of the Company’s board remains unchanged. Mr. Obradovich is a co-founder of public resource companies Canadian Royalties Inc., Aurelian Resources Inc., and U3O8 Corp. He also served as President and CEO of Young-Davidson Mines Limited, where he led that company from its initial acquisition of an historic gold mine in the Matachewan Mining Camp to its successful merger with mid-tier gold producer Northgate Minerals Inc. “We look forward to Tom playing a more prominent role in our Company, providing guidance on strategic matters, as we advance both our Lynn Lake nickel project and the Company as a whole,” stated Independent Nickel President and CEO, Richard Murphy.
